The 9060  is a new expression of the refined style and innovation-led design of the classic 99X series. The 9060 reinterprets familiar 99X elements with a warped sensibility inspired by the proudly futuristic, visible tech aesthetic of the Y2K era. Sway bars, taken from the 990, are expanded and utilized throughout the entire upper for a sense of visible motion, while wavy lines and scaled up proportions on a sculpted pod midsole place an exaggerated emphasis on the familiar cushioning platforms of ABZORB and SBS.

Drawing inspiration from classic models in the 99X series, the New Spruce version of the New Balance 9060 showcases the visible tech aesthetic of the early 2000s. For instance, the ABZORB midsole boasts exaggerated sculpted pods that complement the wavy, layered overlays on the upper. The upper is crafted from suede and mesh in Sea Salt, while gray accents stand out on the tongue, heel, and side panels. Although New Spruce saturates the “N” on the outer side panel, stripes of New Spruce cover the “N” on the inner side. The “NB 9060” branding on the tongue and the “NB” stitched on the heel also come in New Spruce.
